Matthew Perry, renowned for his iconic role as Chandler Bing on the beloved TV series Friends, may receive a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as Hollywood contemplates honoring the late actor.

According to ET report, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, responsible for the iconic plaques adorning the sidewalks of Tinseltown, confirmed that the decision now lies in the hands of Perry's family.

While there hasn't been any communication with the family regarding this potential honor, the Chamber expressed that such a gesture would be a beautiful way to remember the beloved actor.

Matthew Perry was previously selected to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013, but due to various reasons, a ceremony was never scheduled, and the award expired in 2018.

The actor passed away on October 28, 2023, and his untimely death has prompted discussions about honoring his memory.

Matthew Perry was bid a final farewell at his funeral, which took place just six days after his passing.

The emotional gathering was a heartfelt tribute to the talented actor, attended by his close-knit family and fellow Friends co-stars.

On a Friday afternoon, friends and family congregated at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles to pay their respects and celebrate Perry's life.

Notably, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, who portrayed his on-screen companions, were in attendance.

The reports also revealed that both Matthew's father, John Bennet Perry, and his stepfather, Keith Morrison, joined other attendees at the memorial service.
