Megan Fox has bared her soul in her new poetry book, sharing the painful and intimate details of  miscarriage.

The 37-year-old opened up about her miscarriage in two poems included in the recently released book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous.

She gave details about an ultrasound that depicted a baby girl at 10 weeks and one day, revealing..."maybe if you hadn't... maybe if i had..."

Fox added, "I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh," and later, "but now / I have to say / goodbye, adding, "as they rip you from my insides."

The Jennifer's Body actress penned, "I will pay any price," adding, "Tell me please / what is the ransom / for her soul?"

Megan Fox's poetry also explores subjects like abusive relationships and toxic dynamics.

In a prior statement, she described the act of compiling this collection as her effort to remove the affliction that had grown within her due to her silence.

Fox said, "I’ve spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins.”

She went on to say, "My freedom lives in these pages, and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what’s been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness."

Fox, in a recent interview with PEOPLE, expressed that the book's content draws inspiration from a wide array of sources. She elaborated by saying, "Some of it is literal, while other parts are allegorical. Some poems contain a Grimm’s-fairy-tale-type element, and others serve the same purpose as memes in online culture. All of it is something women can relate to."

Megan Fox is the mother of three children: Noah Shannon, 11, Bodhi Ransom, 9, and Journey River, 7. She shares these kids with her former partner, Brian Austin Green.
