'Deadpool 3': Ryan Reynolds credits fitness trainer Don Saladino for his transformation

Ryan Reynolds, who is currently working on his highly anticipated upcoming movie Deadpool 3 credited his fitness trainer Don Saladino for Reynolds' transformation.

Taking to his Instagram account on Sunday night, the Buried actor shared photos of him standing beside Saladino inside a gym.

In the  shared pictures, the Free Guy actor and his longtime fitness pal flashed a wide smile at the camera and also struck stylish poses, holding giant dumbbells in their hands.

As can be seen through a mirror in one of the clicks, Reynolds' wife Blake Lively captured the photos sitting on the front stairs.

Alongside the photos, The Adam Project's hero penned a heartfelt caption to express gratitude towards the celebrity fitness trainer, who helped the Deadpool 3 actor carved his body for the of character  Wade Wilson.

"As I get ready to shove myself into Deadpool’s big red body condom again, I have to aim the light at @donsaladino," he began in the caption.

The Green Lantern actor further continued, "My body’s been pretty fucked from years of stunts and being more competitive than my bones and ligaments had ambition for. I push things too far sometimes. I mean, I push things too far ALL the time. Moderation’s never been my friend. But Don has!"

"He’s always been there to help me get back to functionality. Mentally and physically. I realize how privileged I am to work with someone like him. I don’t do this stuff alone. I don’t take it for granted. I knew getting back to where I needed wasn’t gonna be easy," he added.

The 47-year-old actor concluded his post writing, "And adding three months of strike limbo in the middle certainly didn’t help. Anyway… Thanks Don. Here’s to the home stretch. #MaximumEffort."

Reynolds' transformation journey was cherished by his fans, who flooded the comments section with the words of appreciation for The Hitman's Bodyguard actor and his trainer.

One fan wrote, "donsalindo is the best! Love ya coach."

While another wrote, "looking great good work,,cannot wait to see the new movie.
