'The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live' is scheduled to premiere on February 25, 2024
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is set to bring back the heart and soul of the beloved zombie apocalypse series, as AMC unveiled an enticing sneak peek trailer on Sunday.
This new installment will mark the return of iconic characters Rick Grimes, portrayed by Andrew Lincoln, and Michonne, played by Danai Gurira.
Scheduled to premiere on February 25, 2024, the limited series will delve into the epic love story between Rick and Michonne, a couple whose journey began on The Walking Dead.
The teaser trailer provides a glimpse into the characters' determination to reunite against all odds.
Rick Grimes, presumed dead after season 9, and Michonne, who discovered her spouse's survival in season 10, are thrust into a world transformed by a war against the dead and the living.
The series promises answers to the questions that have lingered since their exits from the original show.
Andrew Lincoln, aged 50, expresses in the teaser, "Our ambition is to have some answers," while Danai Gurira describes the narrative as an "exciting story" of two powerful individuals facing the challenges of a changed world.
The show's description hints at themes of separation, an unstoppable force, and the ghosts of their past.
Both Lincoln and Gurira will not only star in the series but also serve as executive producers, along with showrunner Scott M. Gimple, Denise Huth, and Brian Bockrath.
