Martin Freeman bagged the honour for best performance by an actor at the 51st International Emmy Awards
Martin Freeman has added yet another trophy to his shelf of awards as he bagged the honor for the best performance by an actor at the 51st International Emmy Awards 2023.
As reported by Variety, the British actor won the award, on November 20, 2023, winning the race against the other nominees, Jim Sarbh, Gustavo Bassani and Jonas Karlsson.
The International Emmy Awards' official social media account took to X, formerly Twitter to tweet, “The International Emmy for Best Performance by an Actor goes to "Martin Freeman in The Responder” produced by Dancing Ledge Productions.”
About 'The Responder':
This police drama was produced by Dancing Ledge Productions where the series revolves around a demoted police officer named Chris Carson, played by Martin Freeman.
He drives a frontline response vehicle in Liverpool and whilst working night shifts he faces criminal offenses, violence and chaos on the streets, as he manages his personal problems that might just ruin his career, personal life as well as his mental well-being.

Jim Sarbh starred in the SonyLIV series Rocket Boys, portraying the character of Homi Bhabha, a nuclear physicist and a key figure in India's nuclear.
Gustavo Bassani, as Yosi, played the role of the protagonist in the thriller Spanish series, Iosi, El Espía Arrepentido (Yosi, The Regretful Spy) as an undercover Argentinian spy to gather information about supposed terriost activities.
Jonas Karlsson played the role of Tommy in the series, Nattryttarna, in which he hides a dark past which gets revealed when people close to him take a stand againts his absurd behaviour.
