Timothée Chalamet picks up some new skills during 'Wonka' filming

Timothée Chalamet has picked up some new skills while working on the set of his upcoming movie Wonka.

During the film's London premiere on Tuesday, Timothée shared that doing the film's dance scenes was a "great learning experience."

He said, "I loved it, my mom is a dance teacher and my grandmother was a dancer, my sister is a dancer, so I was always sort of around it but it's a big difference between being around it and having to do it."

On the red carpet, the 27 year-old actor told that he had to learn to "live and love the tone" of the film while joking about using "a lot of auto-tune" for the singing parts.

The Beautiful Boy actor said, "I realized everything I've worked on [has had a] grounded seriousness to it, and here I had to loosen up and play, kind of like I did in high school, but I hadn't done in 10 years or something."

"So, that was the learning curve, but once it was in full swing, then it felt like we were cookin," the Dune actor continued.

In addition to this where the Hot Summer Nights star admitted to facing a learning curve, Wonka director Paul King also praised the actor's performance.

King assured fans that they can look forward to Willy Wonka's vibrant "energy" in the musical numbers.
