The singer, who celebrated his birthday on December 2, couldn't contain his excitement, captioning the first image with, "Wow happy birthday to me," and expressing gratitude with a heartfelt, "Thanku broookie," in the next.

However, the highlight of the surprise was a handwritten note from John Mayer himself.
