'The Simpsons' casts Scottish artists for latest episode 'Ae Bonny Romance'
'The Simpsons' latest episode aired on December 3, 2023 featured Scottish voice over artists
The Simpsons latest episode featured many Scottish stars as voice over artists and a special cameo appearance in show's latest episode.
According to Cumnock Chronicle the episode titled, Ae Bonny Romance Maisie, one of series' special characters, was voiced by one of the major Scottish stars, Karen Gillan.
Moreover, Paul Higgins and David Tennant are the other Scottish voice-over artists of the episode alongside The Avengers actress.
Belle and Sebastian, which is a famous Scottish band also appeared as a cameo in the episode as animated characters in the world of Simpsons.
Stuart Murdoch, the founding member of the band, took to his X account to post a picture of the band, captioning the post, “I think they did us pretty well, what do you think?”
The band has a keyboardist, Chris Geddes, known as Beans and Jackson, commonly known as Stevie, the guitarist.
“Beans and Stevie are particularly well represented,” the caption further noted.

The latest episode revolves around the Scottish character of the series, Groundskeeper Willie and his storyline.
Simpsons family follow Willie to Scotland amidst speculations that he had been “kidnapped” only to find out it was all a set up to have the family attend his wedding to a girl named Maisie.
