WhatsApp is set to unveil a new feature soon that could enable users to share audio while screen-sharing in video calls.

This update reports comes after the Meta-owned messaging app enabled users to share their screens similar to Google Meet or Zoom.

Rumours suggest that this reported feature was observed in the WhatsApp beta for iOS version 23.25.10.72, accessible through the TestFlight app.

As per information provided by WABetaInfo, a platform tracking WhatsApp features, there are upcoming plans to introduce a new capability for iPhone users.

This feature will allow them to share audio while simultaneously sharing their screen in video calls.

It also implied that users will have the ability to listen to video and music audio simultaneously when someone shares their screen during video calls.

The anticipated improvement of interactions on the platform, especially during presentations and virtual gatherings, stems from the addition of real-time audio-sharing capability during screen-sharing sessions.

WhatsApp is said to be considering the reintroduction of a feature allowing users to send photos and videos with the "view once" option through desktop applications.

It's noteworthy that this feature had been removed from WhatsApp Web and Desktop a year ago to prioritize user privacy.

In WhatsApp for Windows, users can utilize the drawing editor's caption bar to designate the image as a "view once" message. Importantly, this feature extends beyond WhatsApp for Windows and is accessible to users on macOS and linked devices.

The report stated that this feature would be available to particular users upon installing the most recent updates of WhatsApp for Windows, WhatsApp for macOS, and WhatsApp Web.

Furthermore, it will gradually be made available to a broader audience over the next few weeks.
