'Gunjal', upcoming Pakistani crime-thriller gears to hit theatres on THIS date
Ahmed Ali Akbar starrer criime-thriller 'Gunjal' is all set to hit theatres this December
The wait is finally over!
Gunjal , an upcoming Pakistani movie of the crime-thriller genre, is set to release on December 15, 2023, starring Ahmed Ali Akbar, Samiya Mumtaz, Omair Rana, Resham and others.
The movie is based on a true story, revolving around the Pakistani child labor activist Iqbal Masih, who was the leader of a movement against child labor in the 1990s prior to his brutal murder.
'Gunjal' plot:
Shahbaz Bhatti, a journalist and the protagonist of Gunjal finds himself involved in investigating the demise of Iqbal Masih, a courageous child activist, who used to battle the practice of child labor in Pakistan.
Being a persistent flag bearer of truth, Bhatti’s journey reveals hidden secrets, fabricated truths and the complexities of intricately planned conspiracies.
This motion picture invites viewers to immerse in a stimulating adventure of not only the investigative process of Masih’s death but also the social and political propagandas that hindered his activism.
'Gunjal' movie cast:
Gunjal has a star-studded cast of Ahmed Ali Akbar playing the role of Shahbaz Bhatti and Syed Muhammad Ali as Iqbal Masih.
Amna Ilyas plays Mehar, a passionate woman who is devastated after Masih’s death and is extremely vocal about fighting child labor while Resham is cast as fearless journalist.
Ahmed Ali Butt plays Salman Habib, a prominent industrialist who would be participating in the upcoming local elections.
'Gunjal' Rahet Fateh Ali Khan song 'Dor':
Gunjal’s latest track, Dor by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was released on Friday, December 8, 2023 with the music composed by Zonaib Zahid and the lyrics written by Faseeh Bari Khan.
The song is available on different platforms including Spotify, Jio Saavn and even YouTube.

The much-anticipated movie launched its trailer on September 30, 2023.
Gunjal also made a pre-launch event on November 20, 2023 at UMT University, Lahore to celebrate children’s day.
