Sofie Richie recalled a heart felt moment she shared with her father, Lionel Richie as she walked down the aisle with him on her wedding in April 2023.
As reported by PEOPLE, in an interview to Net-a-Porter, she stated how walking down the aisle with her father meant the world to her.
Recalling how it took the father-daughter duo seven minutes to complete the walk, she stated, “We were giggling, crying, it was so surreal.”
“We have this little look we give each other… [so] we just gave each other this smirk. We were like two giddy little kids following the rabbi, who was telling us what to do,” she further noted.

The Hello singer’s daughter had her wedding covered by Vogue along with her dress fittings. She had told the outlet every detail about the walk she had planned with her father.
In a conversation with Vogue, reflecting on her wedding day, Sofia said, "It was very emotional, and I feel so lucky that I have my parents, I'm very grateful."
Meanwhile, the fashion designer at her wedding also noted, "I was watching one by one each bridesmaid and groomsman walk down the aisle, and we were inching closer to the front, and I couldn't believe it was happening."
"'You're the love of my life, and I'm so happy for you,'" continued the designer recalling how Lionel kept reminding his daughter how much he loves her.
Lionel later told Extra that his daughter kept on repeating "I love you, dad, I love you, dad, I love you, dad," as she walked towards her groom.
"I go... 'You're killing me. You're killing me.' But that's what a dad wants to hear, and I love Baby Girl so much, and the family was there to root her on," he said, reflecting on his emotions on his daughter’s wedding.
