'Saturday Night Live' hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che take a hilarious dig at each other
'Saturday Night Live' traditional gig was performed by comedians Colin Jost and Michael Che
Saturday Night Live carried its annual December tradition of Colin Jost and Michael Che cracking jokes about each other.
As reported by Deadline, both the American comedians exchanged jokes on the latest SNL show, on December 16, 2023.
This year, Che made the tradition complex for Jost as he called on the show, “someone very special who was last on this show, Season 3, 46 years ago.”
“Poet, author, activist… Please welcome Dr. Hattie Davis, ladies and gentlemen,” Che announced.
Jost remained anxious knowing he was going to have a difficult time reading the jokes Che wrote for him in front of Davis, but nonetheless, he went through the segment by reading the jokes.
“New York state now allows movie theaters to serve alcohol, which is how I’m finally able to enjoy my wife’s little art movies,” Jost read to the audience while an image of Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow appeared on screen.
The joke took an unexpected and cringeworthy turn when Jost continued reading, “I’m kidding, honey. I love all of your movies. And if you ask me, you’re an even better black widow than Coretta Scott King.”
These amusing end remarks of the joke led to a disapproving reaction of Davis.
Che proceeded to read the joke Jost had given him he saying, “Last month Beyoncé posted a photo on Instagram of herself in a chrome Versace dress and platinum blonde hair that many people online described as ‘too white.'”
Delivering the supposed punchline, he added, “In fact, Beyoncé looked so white that I was finally attracted to her.”
This was Jost’s way of taking his revenge from Che by making him read the ridiculously extreme joke.
