Billie Eilish song ‘What Was I Made For?’ shortlisted for Oscars 2024 nominations

Billie Eilish continues to dominate the music industry as her hit track What Was I Made For? from Barbie: The Album was shortlisted for the Oscar Awards 2024 nominations in Best Original Song category.
The 22-year-old singer took to her Instagram account on Thursday to share the news with her fans with a post featuring the song.
Her post starts off with a video from the movie, Barbie, where Eilish’s song, What Was I Made For plays in the background of Barbie’s epiphany.
To express her gratitude she wrote a caption that read, “<3333 thank you to @theacademy for shortlisting “What Was I Made For?” in the Best Original Song category today. sooo grateful to be a part of @barbiethemovie. thank you greta, @iammarkronson, and @wyattish @finneas.”
Her carousel of posts also contained different pictures adding up to the aesthetics of the song, with a picture that showed a page from a diary having the lyrics of the song, “When did it end? All the enjoyment. I'm sad again, don't tell my boyfriend. It's not what he's made for. What was I made for?”
While the other photos show another page from the diary having the iconic “B” of the Barbie franchise drawn on it, along with the pictures of a Barbie doll cake and a child with blonde hair, plump lips, sleeping in a pink silk dress.

What Was I Made For is one of the hit soundtracks of the 2023 Barbie movie from Barbie: The Album.
The song topped the charts in Australia, UK, Switzerland as well as Ireland, and also landed on number 14 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in United States.
Alongside its recent Oscar nomination shortlisting, the song has also received five Grammy nominations, including Record of The Year and Song of The Year.
