Kamar de los Reyes, who is famous for his long-running role on One Life to Live, has passed away at age 56.

He was battling cancer at the time of his death.

Kamar was best known for voicing the villain Raul Menendez in the popular Call of Duty franchise.

The late star shared his thoughts on the hit show during a dialogue with Urban Latino magazine in 2007.

He said, “We’re one of the few soaps that has an all-Latino family, a Puerto Rican family, which you don’t see much of, not only on daytime but prime time television overall, and is something I feel network television needs to work harder on. I think ‘One Life to Live’ has done a formidable job of that.”

Kamar was working on Washington Black, CW sports drama All American and the new Daredevil at the time of his death.

All American showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor on Monday.

She gave a statement to Deadline, “We are absolutely devastated at the loss of Kamar. He was such a beloved member of our All American family. He brought so much love, light and joy to the set every day, even during his final days. We are so grateful for every moment he spent with us.”

Nkechi added, “Our hearts and sincere condolences are with Sherri, Caylen, Michael, John and the rest of Kamar’s family. Thank you for sharing him so generously with us and with the rest of the world. He truly was a gift. One we will cherish forever.”

Kamar’s family members include his wife, Sherri Saum, and their twin boys, John and Michael.
