Jeremy Allen White who took centre stage at the Primetime Emmys for garnering the Outstanding Lead Actor award in a comedy series The Bears, has expressed his gratitude for the remarkable triumph.

White,32, who played the role of chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto on the series, accepted the Emmy, saying “I’m so proud, I’m so full of gratitude to be standing in front of you all.”

The After Everything star said, “I love the show so much,” adding, “It filled me up. It gave me a passion, set a fire in me to match the beautiful work. I love you guys. The beautiful cast and beautiful crew I get to share a space and stage with. Thank you to all those who have stayed close to me, especially in this past year. You know who you are."

“Thank you for believing in me when I had trouble believing in myself,” he concluded.

The Shameless actor beat out Bill Hader for Barry, Jason Segel for Shrinking, Martin Short for Only Murders in the Building and Jason Sudeikis for Ted Lasso in the category.

It is pertinent to mention that the 75th Emmys were originally scheduled for September 2023 but were pushed back due to the Hollywood strikes.

Apart from him, actor Ebon Moss Bachrach took home the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for The Bear.

The show also received the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
