Johnny Depp is set to make his second directorial film 'Modi' nearly 25 years after 'The Brave'

Johnny Depp expressed his profound gratitude towards the cast of his second directorial film, Modi, dropped first behind-the-scenes photos on Thursday.
Taking the official Instagram account of Modi on January 18, 2024, Depp shared a carousel of three behind-the-scenes photos from his second directorial project, 25 years after The Brave.
The first look photos captured the Pirates of the Caribbean actor indulged in discussion with the studded cast of the film, including the legendary Al Pacino.
Dressed in a blue jeans, white and red buttoned down shirt, which he wore over a black casual t-shirt, Depp could be seen striking a smile in a candid click.


"Modi is a testament to the collaborative spirit of independent filmmaking, and I am excited to present this unique and compelling story to the world, @Johnny Depp" read the caption alongside the first look images of Modi.
Johnny Depp on directing his first film 'Modi':
During an exclusive conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Depp expressed his thoughts about directing Modi, which is based on the story of Italian Bohemian artist Amedeo Modigliani.
"Embarking on this cinematic journey as the director of Modi has been an incredibly fulfilling and transformative experience." Depp said.
He added, "I would like to express my profound gratitude to the entire cast, crew, and producers for their unwavering commitment and creativity."

"To Al, who requested that I make this film—how could I refuse Pacino?" Depp admitted.
Johnny Depp went on to express gratitude towards Modi's cast saying, "A sincere acknowledgment for generously contributing his talent and dedication to this project. Modi is a testament to the collaborative spirit of independent filmmaking, and I am excited to present this unique and compelling story to the world."
About 'Modi' cast and plotline:
Riccardo Scamarcio will be seen in the titular role, with Al Pacino playing the supporting character of a French art collector Maurice Gangnat.
The ensemble cast of Modi also includes, Antonia Desplat, Stephen Graham, Bruno Gouery, Ryan McParland, Luisa Ranieri and Sally Phillips.
Modi features a chaotic 48 hours in Modi Modigliani's life, who is hiding from the police in Paris in the midst of the World War I.
However, his unexpected encounter with an infamous collector, when he was desiring to end his career, changes his live.
