Common and Jennifer Hudson first ignited dating rumors in 2022 after being spotted together in Chicago
Jennifer Hudson and Common have seemingly confirmed their relationship amid the ongoing dating rumors surrounding the potential couple.
On a preview of The Jennifer Hudson show's Monday's episode, Common and Jennifer playfully teased each other, where Common appeared as a guest.
At the beginning, the 42-year-old host, who is also a singer, introduced Common, with a rap after he appeared on the segment and giving her a big bouquet of flowers.
She said, "Now, we gotta get down to business, Mr. Common. I'm a host and so I have to ask you this question 'cause everybody always wanna know this — are you dating anyone.”
When asked about his relationship status, The Light singer laughed and seemingly confirmed that he is indeed dating someone.

Common acknowledged the audience's applause with a brief smile and said, "Yes."
The 51-year-old rapper then told, "This relationship is a happy place for me, seeing her happy actually makes me really happy. So, I'm very grateful. I thank God each and every day, and I'm just letting God guide this relationship."
Common also playfully shared that he has high standards and mentioned wanting his partner to be an EGOT winner.
The Come Close singer said, "She had to win an Oscar on her first movie, she had to get her own talk show."
Although he didn't mention Jennifer's name, the playful banter suggested otherwise.
Common then turned the question back to the Respect actress, who expressed contentment in her relationship and asked if he's happy in his.

Common and Jennifer initially raised dating speculations in 2022, when they were seen together in their hometown of Chicago.
However, during an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, in September 2022, Jennifer denied the speculations of dating Common.
She said, "People create their narratives of it and it's like, OK, you know, how you feel, we shot a film together, and Common played my husband. We gotta eat in between those moments."
After that, the couple has been seen together on several occasions, occasionally holding hands.
