Prince Harry skips visit to ailing King Charles, Princess Kate because of Meghan Markle
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle faced backlash for attending 'Bob Marley: One Love' film premiere
Prince Harry found himself in a confusing situation as he reportedly prioritizes supporting Meghan Markle over a visit to ailing family members.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped onto the red carpet on Tuesday for a rare appearance at the Bob Marley: One Love film premiere.
This event followed closely after Prince Harry received an award at the Living Legends of Aviation Awards.
Meanwhile, within the royal family, both King Charles and Kate Middleton are currently undergoing hospital treatments.
Princess of Wales is hospitalized as she recuperates from abdominal surgery, while the monarch is scheduled for treatment related to an enlarged prostate.
Angela Levin, a royal expert, commented that Harry dismissed the health concerns within the Royal Family, illustrating the strained relationship the Sussexes have with the institution.
In an interview with The Sun, Levin expressed her viewpoint, "He didn't say anything. I felt that he was bound to say 'I’m so sorry to hear that both my father and sister-in-law are unwell'. He just needed to say one sentence."
She mentioned that Harry appears to be in a state of stagnation "between a rock and a hard place," adding, "Deep down he still loves his family but she comes first and that’s ok."

Harry and Meghan faced backlash for their trip to Jamaica to attend the premiere. Numerous experts suggested that, instead, they should visit the UK to show support for the Royal Family.
Royal commentator Phil Dampier conveyed this sentiment to the Daily Mail, "Under normal circumstances there would be nothing wrong with them going to a film premiere. But at a time when his father is going under the knife and Jamaica is making noises about ditching the monarchy, this is rather insensitive."
