'Argylle' star Bryce Dallas Howard draws inspiration from Taylor Swift for her character
'Argylle' starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose is set to premiere in theaters on February 2, 2024

Bryce Dallas Howard who plays author Elly Conway in upcoming film, Argylle shared that Taylor Swift was an inspiration for her character.
Despite rumors suggesting Swift's involvement in writing the book that inspired the movie, Howard clarified on The Graham Norton Show that the Blank Space singer wasn't directly engaged in the project.
The Jurassic World actress highlighted Swift's love for cats, her quirky style, and her 'unapologetic dorkiness' as elements that influenced her portrayal of Elly Conway.
Howard said, “she is a cat lady. She’s got this awesome backpack with a cat in that she walks around with.”

“She loves a good argyle sweater, and there is a sort of unapologetic dorkiness about her, that’s a little bit like what my character is like,” she added.
During an interview with Rolling Stone the film's director Matthew Vaughn addressed the rumors about Taylor Swift writing the book.
He expressed his admiration for the conspiracy theories but emphasized that the author, Elly Conway, is a real person distinct from the Cruel Summer hitmaker.
The director said, “I did read the conspiracies and I was like, ‘Wow, they don’t leave a stone unturned!’ But it’s not Taylor Swift. She definitely didn’t write the book.”
