Jeremy Renner returned to the set of Mayor of Kingstown after his life-altering snow plow accident.
PEOPLE reported, while on the set of his new Super Bowl ad for Silk, Renner expressed a mix of emotions, acknowledging being 'a little bit scared' but also excited about reprising his role and working with the cast.
He said, "I don't know if I'm looking forward to it. Again, I try to just do everything kind of step by step here. That's one foot in front of the other one. Then you're walking."

He shared, "I think I'm excited when I'm there and I get in a rhythm there. I'm excited about the character and, of course, all the people involved and all that in the storyline, but for me, I'm just tentative of confidence in work."
Having faced health concerns in January 2023, Renner admitted to being cautious about slipping and falling due to his incomplete lower body strength recovery.
Despite the uncertainties, Renner is eager to be back and is optimistic about getting into the rhythm of filming.
Renner stepped back onto the set for the first time on January 10, expressing nervousness in a candid Instagram post.
He wrote, "Day one on set … nervous today Hope this works out that I can ACTUALLY pull this off for our production and more importantly the fans @mayorofkingstown @paramountplus."
The Avengers actor celebrated the one-year anniversary of his accident with gratitude for his remarkable recovery in an Instagram post, emphasizing that returning to the set marks a significant personal milestone.
"I was reminded that love, good will, hard work and a legion of good humans are getting me through every day … thank you , bless you …. And as always, I hold my promise to be better, be stronger, and grow to surpass potential…. Bless you all," the post read.
