Halle Bailey clapped back to the accusations that she was  hiding her pregnancy, mentioning she "never lied."

Taking to her X account on Sunday, Bailey countered several users' claims in which they said that she had misled and manipulated people regarding pregnancy rumors.

One user suggested that The Little Mermaid star now wants everyone to "know every little detail" about her pregnancy after keeping it a secret.

On which Bailey defended herself, noting, "I never lied or even said anything about it honey, making a joke about my nose was the farthest I went."

"I’ll never understand why you are mad i protected my own peace, wouldn’t you do the same? and i’m gonna share my pics now if i want to because my son is here safely, if u don’t wanna see it just keep scrolling baby lol God bless you !," she added.

The 23-year-old singer also replied to another user who suggested she should stop sharing pictures of her pregnancy journey once her son, Halo, was born.

 Bailey noted, "If u don’t care why are u responding then sweetheart just don’t care by living ur best life and not commenting on mine."

After this exchange, the Forgive Me singer announced that she was going to log off from the site in a follow-up tweet.

Earlier this month, on January 6, 2024, Bailey and her boyfriend, DDG, announced the arrival of their son, Halo, sharing the news on their Instagram accounts.

Alongside a photo of the new born baby’s hand, wearing a bracelet of gold, Bailey noted, "Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son."

The Do it songstress added,  "Welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you."
