Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt shine as Best Actor and Actress at 2024 Filmfare
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt won 2024 Filmfare Awards for their roles in respective films, 'Animal' and 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'
Ranbir Kapoor and his wife, Alia Bhatt, shared heartwarming moments as the couple secured the honors for Best Actor and Best Actress at the 69th Filmfare Awards, held on Sunday.
Ranbir received the honor for his iconic role in Animal, which was released in December 2023, while Alia secured the award for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
A notable moment from the evening was their delightful dance to the song Jamal Kudu from Animal.
In the widely circulating video, Ranbir performed the hook step of the track, skillfully balancing a drink on his head.
On the other hand, Alia, seated in the audience, briefly joined the Shamshera actor, and their dance ended with Ranbir planting a sweet kiss on the Raazi star's cheek.
For the awards night, Alia rocked a beige saree, having a stylish corset blouse, meanwhile, Ranbir, initially wore a blue and black suit on the red carpet but later switched to black pants and a white blazer for his performance.
Ranbir Kapoor remembers late father Rishi Kapoor:
After clinching the award, Ranbir remembered his late father Rishi Kapoor, who passed away on April 30, 2020.
During his acceptance, the Rockstar actor said, "Every day I think of you, I remember you and everything that I feel for you the love, the affection I try to channelise it through this part and I hope you are up there in peace and resting."
Ranbir also sweetly mentioned his daughter, Raha Kapoor , born on November 6, 2022.
He said, "And last but not least my daughter Raha naughty, you were born and a week later I started principal shooting for Animal and every single day just to come home to you has been the most joyful experience of my life."

Shortly after Ranbir and Alia received the awards, Nitu Kapoor, mother of the 41-year-old actor shared her happiness for both of them in an Instagram post.
The post included two photos, including one with a winning picture of Ranbir and Alia from the Filmfare night, capturing the celebratory moment.
The second image featured a throwback picture of the couple from a previous award show, reminiscing about their journey together.
Nitu captioned the post, "I secretly prayed n wished a repeat of 2019 ( Sanju raazi ) so happy it happened again !!! Congratulations both of you proud very very proud #animal #rockyranikipremkahani."
