Jamie Dornan choked up as he expressed the importance of his wife's presence in his life
Jamie Dornan broke down in tears during a recent appearance on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs.
In a heartfelt moment, the Fifty Shades of Grey actor revealed that the song he would fight to save from the waves is Forever by The Beach Boys.
The emotional choice was dedicated to his wife, musician Amelia Warner, and their family.
The Fall actor choked up as he expressed the importance of his wife's presence in his life.
"The one thing I would really need to get me through is the thought of my wife and everything that she has given me and our family," he shared.
During the interview, Dornan shared poignant memories, including the time when he was called up last minute to play Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey.
At the time, Amelia was heavily pregnant, and Dornan's late father, a renowned obstetrician and gynecologist, accompanied them to Vancouver in case she went into labor.
The actor expressed amazement at his wife's commitment and strength during that challenging period.
He said, "Fair play to her what an unbelievable woman to hop on a private jet because we couldn't fly commercially with my dad on it because if she went into labour in the sky there needed to be an obstetrician."
The emotional conversation also delved into Dornan's personal struggles, including the death of his mother when he was 16.
He admitted to feelings of guilt for not remembering many details about her due to the trauma.
