Emma Stone shines in 'Jeopardy!'-style quiz on the 'Late Show'

Emma Stone recently fulfilled her dream of participating in Jeopardy! thanks to Stephen Colbert on his Late Show.
The La La Land actress had previously revealed that she applies to be on the game show every year but had yet to be selected.
During Tuesday's episode of the Late Show, Colbert surprised Stone with a Jeopardy!-style quiz featuring questions related to his show and the Ed Sullivan Theater.
He began, "Emma Stone, welcome to Jeopardy! First question, Stephen Colbert is such a fan of this author's work, he aired his concerns with Peter Jackson about the Elves of Mirkwood."

"Who is, the author of Lord of the Rings... Tolkien. Who is Tolkien?" Emma said.
The actress showcased her knowledge, answering questions about Stephen Colbert's favorite author and details about The Beatles' historic appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Stone humorously acknowledged, "Now you're going to understand why I haven't gotten on the show."
Despite some playful banter, she successfully answered the majority of the questions posed by Colbert.
In a light-hearted moment, Colbert threw in a question related to Stone's latest film, Poor Things, where she stumbled a bit.
The actress, nominated for an Oscar for her outstanding performance, playfully responded with, "What is... being here with you tonight?"
Stone showcased her knowledge and successfully tackled the majority of Colbert's questions.
