Trevor Noah is geared up to the host the 66th annual Grammy Awards on Monday, February 4,2024, for the fourth time in his career.
The 39-yer-old South African comedian also has a nomination at the ceremony in the category of best comedy album, for his recent special, I Wish You Would.
Ahead of Grammy Awards hosting gig, Noah was interviewed by PEOPLE magazine about his upcoming fourth time hosting as well as the Jo Koy's Golden Globes controversy.
“The first thing I've learned is that all your preparation is really just the parachute for what actually happens on the night because anything can happen, and every single year it somehow does,” he said.
Expressing what he believes the Grammys are about, he further stated, “I've also learned that because it's a celebration of these musicians and what they've done, everyone is there to party and have a good time.”
Trevor Noah was also asked if he felt “any nerves” after the Jo Koy backlash to which he responded, ”You know what? My nerves are the same every single year. I don't need to see anything to have nerves. I've never approached either an award show or a standup show without nerves.”
