Justin Timberlake sparked excitement among fans, hinting at NSYNC's involvement in new project.
The hitmaker said at the Kelly Clarkson Show, "Yeah, we've been in the studio, so there may be a little something in the future too."
However, several outlets reported that the band isn't collaborating on a fresh project.
Instead, bandmates contributed background vocals for Timberlake's upcoming solo album, Everything I Thought I Was.
Last year, the group delighted fans with Better Place for the movie Trolls Band Together marking their return after a hiatus since 2004.
This revelation comes as Justin Timberlake unveils his latest solo album, Everything I Thought It Was, succeeding his 2018 release, Man of the Woods.
The album's initial singles, including the ballad Selfish, which coincidentally matches a 2011 song by his ex Britney Spears, created a buzz among fans.
On the other hand, Justin Timberlake is all set for The Forget Tomorrow World Tour after the release of his album.
