Carly Pearce talked about a special moment she had with Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane after getting nominated for the Grammys.

According to PEOPLE magazine, Pearce shared how she marked the occasion of being nominated for a Grammy for the second time.

The 33-year-old singer mentioned that she intentionally didn't watch the live announcement of the Grammy nominations, instead, her manager called her and shared the exciting news, saying, "Hey, you're a Grammy nominee."

Talking about the time spent with Stapleton and his wife, Pearce told, "And then Chris and his sweet wife Morgane  who is the reason that I got Chris on the song they FaceTimed me and we had this little moment and it was just awesome."

She continued, "I mean, these are just huge gifts that you're given as a songwriter and as an artist, and it's just kind of mind-blowing."

Pearce also recalled the time when she chose to invite the White Horse singer to collaborate on the song, she opted for a more personal approach instead of involving their publicists or labels.

The Next Girl vocalist explained, "I am very particular about how I approach another artist to do something with me. And I didn't want it to be where our record labels got involved or anything like that. I wanted it to be authentic to us."

She described that due to an existing friendship with Stapleton's wife, she chose to contact her directly through Instagram.

Pearce told, "I said, hey, I'm sure you get this all the time, but I have this song that I really feel like Chris is supposed to be a part of. Do you care if I send it to you."

She also remembered Morgane asking if they could be "truthful" because they often receive many similar requests.

"Absolutely, I understand completely, I just wanted him to hear it," Pearce shared.

Pearce, who won Grammy award last year for a song with Ashley McBryde, is nominated again this year in the same category for her song We Don't Fight Anymore with Chris Stapleton.
