Jacob Elordi found himself amid controversy as reports emerged of an alleged confrontation with a KIIS FM staffer at Clovelly Hotel.
The reported incident occurred outside Sydney's Clovelly Hotel in the eastern suburbs around 3:30 pm last Saturday.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Joshua Fox, a 32-year-old employee of KIIS FM radio, approached the 26-year-old actor for a comment, leading to an alleged argument.
The New South Wales Police have initiated an investigation following an alleged assault involving Elordi and a 32-year-old.
Authorities have reportedly obtained CCTV footage related to the incident. As of now, Mr. Fox has not provided an official statement on the matter.
“The man did not sustain any injuries,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
The spokesperson added, “Inquiries into the incident is continuing.”
Elordi, known for his recent role in the hit movie Saltburn, had been at the hotel, socializing for an extended period, before the reported incident occurred.
The Australian actor had garnered attention earlier in the month for making critical comments about The Kissing Booth film series, in which he appeared from 2018 to 2021.
At present, Elordi is in Australia, engaged in the filming of his character Dorrigo Evans, an Australian Imperial Force soldier, for Amazon Prime Video's five-part adaptation of Richard Flanagan's novel The Narrow Road to the Deep North from 2013.
Following this project, Elordi is set to return to the role of the 'psychopathic' East Highland High School quarterback Nate Jacobs in the upcoming third season of Euphoria, featuring a narrative shift with a five-year time jump.
Filming for the new season commenced in December.
