Taylor Swift shared a 'secret' at the 2024 Grammy Awards by announcing the release of her 11th studio album.
During the acceptance speech for the best pop vocal album award for Midnights, marking her 13th Grammy win the singer announced the release of The Tortured Poets Department.
While expressing gratitude to her fans for supporting Midnights, the Cruel Summer singer shares, "I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years."
"Which is that my brand new album comes out April 19. It’s called The Tortured Poets Department. I’m going to go post the cover right now. Thank you I love you!" the Lover hitmaker added.
Shortly after leaving the stage, her social media lit up with details about the upcoming album, including its title, The Tortured Poets Department, and the tagline, 'All’s fair in love and poetry.'
The album's cover art features Swift in a black-and-white image on a bed, wearing a tank top and shorts.
However, the Instagram post also featured a photo of handwritten note, stating, "And so I enter into evidence My tarnished coat of arms My muses, acquired like bruises My talismans and charms The tick, tick tick, of love bombs My veins of pitch black ink"
"All's fair in love and poetry. Sincerely. The Chairman of The Tortured Poets Department," it concluded.

Adding to the anticipation, just before the big announcement Swift had teased fans with black-and-white social media display, sparking speculation.
Even her website went offline briefly with a mysterious code, which fans cleverly deciphered as a playful diversion.
