Celine Dion made her first public appearance at the Grammy Awards 2024 since her stiff syndrome diagnosis
Celine Dion appeared stronger than ever amid her battle with stiff syndrome at the star-studded 2024 Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
Dion graced the starry night of the 66th Recording Academy Awards in a Valentino Haute Couture coat and gown to present the Grammy for Album of the Year to Taylor Swift.
Dion rocked a mustard yellow coat over the pale pink gown, featuring a thigh-high slit and sweetheart neckline.
She accessorized her look for the night with a dangling statement necklace, and kept her short and sleek bob hair open.
The My Heart Will Go On hit maker recalled accepting her Grammy from Dian Ross and Sting 27-year-ago, saying, “When I say that I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart.”
Soon after the video from her surprise appearance at the Grammy Awards 2024 started taking rounds on the internet, it really gave her fans a sigh of relief.
One fan wrote, “I was bawling, when I saw Celine walk in, I’m so glad she’s doing fine after everything she’s been through.”
While another noted, “Thank you so much Celine Dion for being here.”
“The biggest surprise and what a beautiful moment to see her again, love you, Celine,” mentioned a third.
Another user wrote, “love you celine, it was good to see her on stage.”

For the unversed, in 2022, the six-time Grammy winner told her fans that she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, via an emotional video on her Instagram account.
“I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through,” she further revealed about her chronic condition.
Celine Dion also canceled her “Courage” tour at that time, noting, “It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again.”
Later in 2023, Celine’s sister, Claudette Dion, also updated her sister’s fans about former's health saying that the singer had “lost control of her muscles.”
“It’s true that in both our dreams and hers, the goal is to return to the stage,” Claudette added.

Stiff syndrome is a very rare neurological syndrome, which causes rigidity and spasms in the trunk and limbs, it a rare condition which affects something one in a million people.
