Jurassic World new instalment in the series is set to hit screens in 2025, according to recent announcements. Adding to the anticipation, renowned filmmaker David Leitch is reportedly in talks to helm the project.

On Monday, the official Instagram account of Jurassic World shared the iconic T-rex logo, famously associated with the 1993 blockbuster, along with a significant date: July 2, 2025.

Although the social media post did not divulge further details beyond the release date, it was previously disclosed by The Hollywood Reporter last month that some of the original writers would be making a comeback to develop a new feature film.

David Koepp, renowned for penning the screenplays of the original Jurassic Park and its 1997 sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park, both adapted from Michael Crichton's novels of the same titles, is slated to return to craft the script, introducing a fresh storyline.

Steven Spielberg, renowned for his direction of the inaugural film, is set to return as an executive producer for the forthcoming project.

According to reports from Variety on Monday, discussions are underway with David Leitch, director of Bullet Train, to helm next year's film.

Since its debut in 1993, Jurassic Park has amassed a global box office revenue exceeding $6 billion.

The original cast featured Sam Neill portraying paleontologist Alan Grant, Laura Dern as his colleague Ellie Satler, Samuel L. Jackson in the role of park engineer Ray Arnold, Jeff Goldblum as mathematician Ian Malcolm, among others.

Over the years, various cast members have reprised their roles in subsequent installments of the franchise, including appearances in films such as The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Jurassic Park III (2001), Jurassic World (2015), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), and Jurassic World Dominion (2022).

In Jurassic World Dominion, actors such as Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who joined the franchise in later years, shared the screen with veterans like Neil, aged 76, Dern, aged 56, and Goldblum, aged 71.

As of now, the cast for the July 2025 release of Jurassic World has not been announced.
