Jennifer Garner received a warm welcome at the school in Navajo Nation where she interacted with children


Jennifer Garner alongside Mark Kennedy Shriver embarked on a meaningful journey to the Navajo Nation in New Mexico.

The duo engaged with community leaders at the Central Consolidated School District, discussing how Save the Children could better support local children.

Sharing glimpses on Instagram, Garner warmly embraced Navajo culture by indulging in traditional dishes like mutton stew and blue corn cookies, expressing delight at the culinary experience.

“@markkshriver and I felt the Diné’s (Navajo) rich history and culture woven throughout the community as we visited community leaders at the Central Consolidated School District in Navajo Nation (New Mexico),” she wrote.


She further added, “we had a collaborative, welcoming conversation about how @savethechildren can best help area children thrive, I enjoyed my first mutton stew, blue mush, and blue corn cookies (delicious!), and leaders from the local ECHO Food Bank told us they receive food from @onceuponafarm’s partnership with @savethechildren it was a win, all around.”

The following day, Garner and Shriver met with Governor Lujan Grisham and members of her administration, recognizing the state's commitment to prioritizing early education.

Garner revealed, “the next day, Mark and I met with @govmlg and members of her cabinet, as well as New Mexico’s Legislature, and found them to be engaged and informed. In Gov. Lujan Grisham’s administration, Early Education is top priority; @savethechildren is proud to work in partnership with New Mexico’s most under resourced schools.”

Additionally, they participated in a heartwarming home visit, where they witnessed firsthand the impactful work of Save the Children's home visitors in the community.

The clips shared in the post depicted the actress receiving a warm welcome and interacting with children.

In one clip, children showcased their dance skills in the auditorium, adding to the joyful atmosphere of the visit.

Fans flooded the comments section praising the actress for the generous work she's doing, with one stating, “you're doing such important work. What a generous use of your platform and influence.”

While the other added, “this nearly put me in tears .. how cute!!”
