Taylor Swift and Kanye West's feud resurfaced once again after the release of his hit album Vulture, which ignited criticism for referencing Taylor Swift in his song.
In his latest song Carnival, the Runaway singer declared in the lyrics that he “made six Taylor Swift"
However, the lyrics did not directly refer to any particular incident related to the Anti-Hero songstress, but it was widely considered as revenge for the 2009 incident.’
In 2009, the young Swift faced interruption on the Grammys stage as she received her award when West claimed that Beyoncé deserved the award more than her.
Both Grammy winners have been involved in many conflicts over the years, notably when the Bound 2 singer, mentioned the Lover crooner in his song Famous.
The lyrics of the song read, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that (expletive) famous."
It was publicly criticised particularly after Swift shed light on the behaviour she received from West.
But the recent mention the Travis Kelce's girlfriend in the song has now ignited criticism among Swift’s fan base and they flooded the X (former Twitter) with their grievance over the issue.
One fan wrote, "Taylor Swift was his target twice and has successfully moved on from both events and thrived. Meanwhile, Kanye feels the need to name drop her everytime he needs clout and attention."
Another added, “Says a lot about how desperate he is to be relevant right now.”
The third noted, “Kanye, is the only [person] who’s gonna mention Taylor Swift’s name in an attempt to get relevant again and perhaps a bit famous.”
It is pertinent to mention that according to the reports of Mirror, the fans were also disappointed as West could not arrive on time at the celebration of his new project with Ty Dolla Sign.
The source reported to Mirror that, the event was "scarily and eerily empty" and the stage was not visible due to the dense smoke.
