Chris Russo slams CBS for Taylor Swift shots during Super Bowl: 'it's too much'
Chris Russo acknowledged the authenticity of Taylor Swift's relationship with Travis Kelce
Chris Russo has sparked controversy with his criticism of CBS's coverage of pop sensation Taylor Swift during the Super Bowl LVIII broadcast.
As per DailyMail report, despite the popstar's limited screen time of only 54 seconds, the Radio host argued that CBS excessively focused on Swift, who was at the Allegiant Stadium to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Russo, known for his outspoken opinions, claimed that CBS cut to shots of the Lover singer in her luxury suite far too frequently, estimating it to be around 10 to 12 times during the game.
“I don't care if it's only a split-second. They must've gone to that suite for Taylor Swift 9,000 times—way over the top. And I'm not one of those…Listen, I think it's too much. I'm not that into it. I do think that's a caring relationship, which I don't think it's fake; that I like,” he said.

While Russo acknowledged the authenticity of Swift's relationship with Kelce and its appeal to certain demographics, he believed that CBS went 'way over the top' with their coverage.
He added, “I've seen it again on the field; I think there's a future there, but they went to her way, way too many times. I didn't count the amount of shots to that suite — it had to be 10 or 12 in the course of the game.”
Russo argued that the excessive focus on Swift detracted from the essence of the game and catered more to her fan base than the football audience.
Swift, Kelce, and their celebrity friends celebrated the Chiefs' victory late into the night at XS nightclub in Las Vegas.
