'Vanderpump Rules' star Tom Schwartz's brother faces alcohol 'dependency'
Tom Schwartz talked about the struggling alcohol addiction of his younger brother
Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz revealed that his younger brother Bert is struggling with alcohol addiction.
During a recent episode of the Vanderpump Rules, Schwartz shared with Lisa Vanderpump that Bert had to be rushed to the hospital from rehab and might have cirrhosis, a serious liver condition caused by prolonged alcohol abuse.
The Stars on Mars actor told that his brother was his "ray of sunshine" until the "dependency on alcohol."
Schwartz also confessed that Bert's situation has made him fearful and prompted him to reflect on his own alcohol consumption habits, which also led him to recognize the need for "moderation" in his drinking behavior.

Moreover, the 41-year-old actor also shared with Lala Kent that he has been "curious" about sobriety and has even purchased non-alcoholic drinks on which the 33-year-old TV personality inquired about the phrase "sober curious."
In his 2018 appearance on the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Schwartz initially opened up about his struggles with alcohol addiction.
During the show, a fan asked him when he planned to "slow down on drinking."
On which the actor responded, "Without a doubt" then the 55-year-old show host Andy Cohen talked about his doubtfulness for the reason that he’s known for frequently being drunk during the show.
Schwartz, who recently finalized his divorce with Katie Maloney after five years of marriage further added, "I almost always practice moderation. I’ve had a sloppy few."
He has triplet brothers named Robert "Bert," Brandon, and William "Billy."
