Jennifer Lopez has shared that her previous relationship with Ben Affleck faced many challenges as she opened up about her difficulties during their high-profile romance.

While conversing with Variety for its latest cover, The Mother starlet shed light on initial public scrutiny faced by her relationship.

She said, “You have trauma from your past. You have these patterns you haven’t figured out yet. And you get into these relationships where you compromise yourself in ways that you never thought you would.”

The Shotgun Wedding star went on to say, “Or you allow people to treat you in ways that you never thought you would….And that certainly has happened to me.”

Lopez disclosed that her relationship with the Gone Girl star was crumbling "under the weight of the pressure."

The couple found no path in their relationship and then they decided to separate ways as they couldn’t navigate the way in their bond.

She further added, "I had to figure myself out, and he had to figure himself out."

For the unversed Lopez and Affleck were first romantically involved in 2003 when they announced their engagement but due to some circumstances, they separated ways in 2004.

The Good Will Hunting star then tied knot with Jennifer Garner and Lopez married with Marc Anthony.

Affleck rekindled his romance with Lopez in 2021 and they both tied the knot in 2022.

It is pertinent to mention that Bennifer was recently spotted at the red carpet event of her new Amazon original This Is Me…Now: A Love Story premiere at the Dolby Theatre on Tuesday night.
