Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sparked controversy with the launch of their new website, sussex.com on Monday.

The site, showcased their biographies, business ventures, and philanthropic efforts, with the landing page featuring couple's photo from the Invictus Games closing ceremony in Germany last September.

However, the royal sources are reportedly questioning this move that whether it breaches agreements made four years ago when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from royal roles.

DailyMail reported that the couple made agreement with the late Queen four years ago, stepping away from their roles as a royal in 2020, they decided not to use term royal in future.

However, the couple's new website is titled, The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, is sparking questions.

The outlet shared, “many close to the royal household believe it is a flagrant breach of the supposedly cast-iron assurances Harry and Meghan gave the late Queen when they acrimoniously quit as working royals in 2020, and comes perilously close to using their royal status for commercial gain. Others described it as a breach of the agreement, 'if not in letter, certainly in spirit'”

On the other hand, according to outlet Buckingham Palace may not comment on the situation as currently King Charles needs to focus on other things including his cancer treatment.

“Buckingham Palace may have its hands tied in taking action. The King has other things he needs to focus on at the moment and the last thing His Majesty needs is another fight with his son. But this won't go down well at all.'” a source told the outlet.
