Emily Blunt showed admiration to Cillian Murphy's contribution to 'Oppenheimer'
Emily Blunt praised Cillian Murphy for their film Oppenheimer, saying he's different from director Christopher Nolan but still charming.
During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine at the 96th Oscar Nominees Luncheon in Beverly Hills, California, Emily talked about Cillian's quiet personality and admired his deserving respect.
A Quiet Place actor said, “There’s a reverence that he’s so deserving of and you are, like, the quietest conductor of this whole thing.”
She went on to say,“You don't mean to be — it's not in your nature to want to lead — but I think that there's something just captivating about you, whether you like it or not, that people are spellbound by.”
Emily added that some people believe Christopher Nolan's characters are like Peaky Blinders star's reserved nature, but that's not true.
The 40-year-old actress told, "And it is. As much as you like to say, 'This is all of [director] Chris Nolan,' why people are so captivated by this film, but it's you," she explained.
These comments came after, Cillian's first Oscar nomination for Best Actor for his role as Robert Oppenheimer.
Meanwhile, Emily is also nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Kitty Oppenheimer, while Robert Downey Jr. is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Lewis Strauss.
