Taylor Swift looked back at feeling ‘lonely millennial woman’ during quarantine with ex Joe Alwyn, just after a day of playing the breakup song You’re Losing Me first time live.

During her Eras Tour performance in Melbourne Sunday, while prepping for next song Betty from Folklore, released in 2020, Swift talked about the writing process of the album.

In the video shared online, the Lover singer can be seen saying, “[I was] imagining that, instead of being a lonely millennial woman covered in cat hair drinking my weight in white wine, I was a ghostly Victorian lady wandering through the woods with a candle in a candlestick holder”

She further added, “And I wrote only on parchment with a feathered quill. And that was in my mind, what I thought I looked like...while writing Folklore. So that's all that matters, the delusion.”

Taylor Swift’s ex Joe Alwyn, whom she dated for six years, was also the producer of the album, and helped co-write songs, Betty and Exile. Notably, he was credited under the name William Bowery.

In an interview with Zane Lowe Show, the Midnights singer expressed her gratitude for the time in quarantine with ex Joe Alwyn.

“If we hadn't been in lockdown, I don't think that would have happened, but I'm so glad that it did,” Swift said.
