'Oppenheimer' garnered the Best Film award at the BAFTAs 2024


The BAFTA Awards ceremony faced an unexpected disruption as an audience member breached decorum by crashing the stage during the announcement of the Best Film winner and in response, the organizers removed the individual from the venue.

On Sunday, when the Oppenheimer, garnered the Best Film award, Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas, and Cillian Murphy graced the stage to receive an honour but the team was accompanied by the strange man.

It is reported by The Hollywood Reporter, that the BAFTAs organizer didn’t identify the person but they assured that he was “removed by security” after the stunt.

“A social media prankster was removed by security last night after joining the winners of the final award on stage — We are taking this very seriously and don’t wish to grant him any publicity by commenting further,” a spokesperson for BAFTA added in a statement.

As per the reports, the prankster who is a YouTuber has earlier crashed the Brit Awards and FIFA Ballon d’Or awards in France.

The prankster made his way with the Oppenheimer team on stage just as Thomas was encouraging the team to share the victory with her.

“Where are you? Come on, all of you!,” the producer said, while the YouTuber also joined with the Oppenheimer crew.
