Travis Kelce addressed the Super Bowl parade shooting that killed one person and injured 22 others


Travis Kelce has expressed his condolence and solidarity with the victims of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade as he faced criticism for not addressing the issue.

While conversing with his brother Jason on Wednesday's pre-recorded episode of his podcast, New Heights, the NFL player urged his fans to step in to support the victims.

Kelces opened up about the Super Bowl parade shooting that killed one person and injured 22 others, including several minors.

The teaser's caption reads, "Before airing our pretaped episode on Wednesday, Jason and Travis wanted the 92%ers and Chiefs Kingdom to hear from them directly after the tragic events at the Chiefs Parade.”

Travis who is romantically linked with Taylor Swift, told fans, “We have a prerecorded episode for you guys coming up on Wednesday, but, um, after the tragic events at the Super Bowl parade in Kansas City... um... it didn't feel right without you guys hearing from us first.”

"We just wanted to say our hearts go out to all of the victims, their families, Chiefs Kingdom, and really all of Kansas City that was really there on a day that tried to celebrate the community," Jason added.

The Philadelphia Eagles player continued, "And it's unfortunate and deeply tragic, the events that occurred... um.. so we also want to thank the local law enforcement that sprang into action, the first responders on scene and anybody that's been willing to help those affected by this tragedy.”

"You donation goes to supporting victims and their families, violence prevention, mental health services and the first responders," Travis mentioned.
