Priyanka Chopra Jonas has joined forces with the Oscar-nominated documentary project, To Kill A Tiger, as Netflix gears up for the global release of the film.

As reported by Deadline, the Citadel star is set to take the role of executive producer, alongside Dev Patel, Mindy Kaling, and other names.

The announcement was made public as Netflix signed the deal to release the film worldwide on its streaming platform soon.

As per the statement on the Barfi starlet's role, “Priyanka has stood as an unwavering advocate for the film since debuting at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2022,” adding, “captivated by its poignant narrative depicting a father’s valiant struggle within the judicial system to secure justice for his daughter.”

The movie, To Kill a Tiger, helmed by Nisha Pahuj also garnered numerous awards worldwide, the list includes, Best Documentary at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, the Amplify Voices Award at TIFF, and Best Feature Documentary at the Canadian Screen Awards.

Nisha also achieved the 2023 Excellence in Documentary Award from the Directors Guild of Canada.

The documentary also got an Oscar nomination despite having no U.S. distribution which will now be changed by the Netflix deal.

Chopra also took her Instagram account, to share the big achievement to her 90.6 M followers.
