Prince William skips memorial service honoring 'godfather,' King Constantine
Queen Camilla led the ceremony in the absence of both, King Charles and Prince William
Prince William was notably absent from the memorial service held at Windsor Castle to honor the late King Constantine of Greece, who was his godfather.
The event was led by Queen Camilla, filling in for both Prince Charles and King Charles III, with the latter continuing his cancer treatment.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, Prince William, who was scheduled to attend the service solo due to Kate Middleton's recovery from abdominal surgery, made a last-minute call to the Greek royal family to apologize for his absence.

The service honored King Constantine II, who passed away in January 2023, and was attended by members of both the Greek and British royal families.
Prince Andrew, Queen Anne-Marie of Greece Mike Tindall, the Princess Royal, Duchess of York, Princess Alexandra, the Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Gloucester and many more royals attended the ceremony.
As Queen Camilla arrived, she was warmly greeted by the Dean of Windsor, the Right Rev Christopher Cocksworth.
However, King Charles was notably missing from the ceremony, reportedly due to health concerns. While the reason for Prince William's absence remains undisclosed.
