Nicola Coughlan has spilled the major update on the third season of the Netflix series Bridgerton.

While conversing on the latest episode of The One Show, the Irish actress who portrayed the character of Penelope Featherington in the British period series, shared details about her character as Nicola said, “always having a terrible time” but in the third season her character would ‘change.’

Nicola mentioned that on questioned about the things are getting better for her character, “It’s all changed”.

“It is eight months filming for a season, it changes so much, it is a very action-packed season. I got to see some last night and I was bouncing off the walls with excitement”, she added.

She went on to say that the new season will depict the same details as written in the book, the Derry Girls star gushed, “It is brilliant, it is written brilliantly. I'm so proud of the cast and crew, but it is a special one”.

Netflix has provided a sneak peek of the long-awaited moment when Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton share a kiss in the ballroom, offering glimpses of a worried Francesca and an anxious Penelope.

In the upcoming season, Penelope will take on the challenge of finding a suitable husband with Colin's support as her mentor, aiding her in gaining confidence.
