Blake Lively has publicly expressed remorse for mocking Kate Middleton over her photoshopped picture after the royal revealed her cancer diagnosis.

Earlier the Gossip Girl alum ridiculed Princess Kate on her UK Mother's Day snap that ignited “manipulated” photo controversy.

After the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis, Lively took to her Instagram to extend her heartfelt apology for making a “silly post around the ‘Photoshop fails’.”

Sharing the apology in her story section, the It End With Us lead acknowledged, “I'm sure no one cares today but I feel like I have to acknowledge this.”

She further added, “I made a silly post around the "Photoshop fails" frenzy, and oh man, that post has me mortified today.”

While concluding her note she expressed, I'm sorry,” adding, “Sending love and well wishes to all, always.”

For the unversed, Lively statement came right after Princess Kate dropped her first video message after her abdominal surgery on January 17, 2024.

In a shared video she revealed her cancer diagnosis as she kicked off the video by expressing gratitude for the unwavering support during the challenging time.

Kate added in a video, “It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I've had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.”

She mentioned that after her abdominal surgery, the tests following the operation found cancer had been present.

Kate concluded, “'This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”
