‘Euphoria' season 3 faces delay as HBO addresses production challenges: Details
‘Euphoria' show’s third season was expected to premiere in 2025
HBO has officially announced a setback in the production of Euphoria season 3 while confirming the postponement of the shooting.
The streaming platform spokesperson told Variety, “HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” adding, “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”
However Season 3 scripts are still under process, and the update was announced after the report circulating that that the show’s third season has been discarded entirely.
The production of season 3 already faced delays due to the Hollywood strikes and the death of Angus Cloud in July 2023, who played local drug dealer Fez.
Earlier the show has also disclosed its star-studded cast including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Hunter Schafer, and now the long delays cause hurdles in coordinating production schedules.

In November 2023, HBO announced that the third season of the show was slated for a 2025 premiere, indicating a minimum three-year hiatus since Season 2 aired in January 2022.
Elordi quipped during an interview with Jimmy Fallon in January, that Season 3 would have to be released in the future, otherwise it would “seem like a weird bit.”
“I hope it’s soon, or they’re going to have to Benjamin Button me or something,” he said. “I’m going to have a bad back walking down the hallway, you know?”
