Jack Antonoff has abruptly halted the conversation after being questioned about Taylor Swift's upcoming album Tortured Poets Department.

During the conversation in an interview with the Dutch news outlet NRC, the music producer unexpectedly concluded the conversation, when he was asked about his collaboration with the Lover crooner for her 11th studio album,  which will be released on April 19.

“You know I don’t talk about that. If you’re looking for clickbait, you’ve come to the wrong place. Thank you for this conversation,” Antonoff said before abruptly exiting.

During the interview Antonoff did refer to a friend, discussing the music he produced for Swift and Lana Del Ray.

“I don’t see it as producing,” he said.

The Carry On singer continued, “I create music with my friends. It comes as it comes. I’m not the kind of producer who likes to give commands from behind a mixing console. I concern myself with the music itself; the way in which you can manage the creative process."

Antonoff added, “Success is a strange phenomenon. It distracts attention from the ordinary mechanisms that lead to good pop music. Being able to listen to each other well is one thing. The artists I work with trust that I can help them make their music better.”

Taylor Swift revealed her new album in February at the 2024 Grammy while accepting the accolade for best pop vocal album for Midnights which Antonoff co-produced.

He is also the co-writer of Swift’s 12 of the 13 songs in her album
