Johnny Depp and Sydney Sweeney are set to headline Marc Webb's upcoming supernatural thriller, Day Drinker.

Jeff Sneider revealed the news through The InSneider newsletter about the Anyone But You starlet and the Pirates of the Caribbean star, collaborating for the film based on“love, friendship, and revenge.”

The upcoming project will be written by Zach Dean famous for his work The Tomorrow and Fast Ex, and its story reportedly explores a tale of an “enigmatic stranger, played by Depp, and a bartender, played by Sweeney, mourning the loss of her lover.”

While the plot is still under wraps, the movie is reportedly titled Day Drinker.

Day Drinker is considered Depp’s major comeback after his legal battle with former wife Amber Heard.

He was previously removed from Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean series, in which he famously played the beloved character Captain Jack Sparrow.
