Taylor Swift has reached a remarkable milestone by securing a spot on the world's richest list as a billionaire.

The Lover crooner has achieved a place on Forbes World's Billionaires List for the first time with $1.1bn (£877m), along with Sam Altman, creator of the AI chatbot ChatGPT on $1bn (£800m).

She joined Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Jimmy Buffet as the latest musician to achieve this accomplishment.

But Taylor Swift is the first to become a billionaire solely based on music career rather than making a worth from other side businesses.

Because of her incredible success in many areas of her career—her recent Eras tour being one of the major catalysts—her billionaire status has been expected for some time.

According to the reports Taylor Swift became the official member of the billionaire club in October as a result of the enormous success of her Eras tour, which brought in over $1 billion from only the first 60 gigs.

Swift's earnings from tours and song royalties are said to have contributed around half of her wealth; the other $500 million came due to the steadily increasing worth of her music catalog.

Moreover, another $125 million of her net worth is formed from her real properties.
