Nicola Coughlan has recently revealed a heartwarming stipulation in her contract for the upcoming third season.
The Bridgerton star, who plays the character Penelope Featherington, shared in a recent interview with SiriusXM Hits 1, via The Independent, that she demanded the show provide an alternate cut of season three with less nudity to show her family.
“It’s literally written into my contract,” Coughlan said. “People think I’m like saying it as a joke. I just don’t want to. I grew up Irish Catholic. That’s just not how we vibe.”
While reflecting on her mother’s reaction to the amount of nudity in season one of the Chris Van Dusen-created series, the Derry Girls starlet shared her interview, “When she first saw Bridgerton, she didn’t know it was gonna be so saucy.”

Bridgerton season three will debut in two parts: on May 16 for the first installment, and on June 13 for the second.
